WAVES offers a full array of specialist onsite diagnostic imaging modalities, including radiology, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and Computed Topography (CT).
With a brand new state of the art Philips Epiq 5 ultrasound, the radiologists at WAVES can provide the highest quality services in abdominal ultrasound, echocardiography and musculoskeletal ultrasound. The image quality and resolution is significantly greater than is available on mobile ultrasound units
Although these services are currently available only for patients under the care of one of our WAVES veterinarians, in 2018, WAVES will commence accepting direct referral outpatient imaging patients.
In November, 2017, we upgraded our CT machine to the Philips 16 slice model, and it is the only wide bore 16 slice CT machine in a WA veterinary hospital. This technology allows rapid and superb image acquisition from the smallest of feline bones to the biggest Great Dane thorax.
In February 2018, WAVES will be installing a GE Signa 1.5T MRI into the hospital. This will finally allow high field MRI to be available 24/7 to veterinary patients in WA. This is a very exciting addition to WAVES.
