EMERGENCY TEAM
Dr Georgia Allardice
Emergency and Critical Care Veterinarian
BSc BVMS
Georgia’s passion for animal welfare began as a young child; she grew up in rural Western Australia and owned a variety of pets including cats, dogs, sheep, guinea pigs and rabbits. She began her tertiary education with a bachelor of Zoology but quickly realised Veterinary Medicine was her calling and transferred into a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery in 2014.
Georgia graduated from Murdoch University in 2018 and began her career as a rural small animal clinician in Geraldton, WA. As a rural veterinarian she routinely attended after hours emergencies and quickly realised this work was her area of special interest. She has been thoroughly enjoying her position with WAVES since 2020 and when she is not treating patients she is hiking with her heeler, River.
EMERGENCY TEAM
Dr Mollie Bower
Emergency and Critical Care Veterinarian
BVSc
Mollie graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2019. After graduation Mollie moved back home to work in a small animal general practice on the south coast of England for 18 months. In March 2021 she moved to Australia and worked in an emergency hospital in Perth. Mollie joined the WAVES team in January 2022 as an emergency and critical care veterinarian. She has an interest in all aspects of emergency medicine and is working towards her Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (Emergency and Critical Care).
EMERGENCY TEAM
Dr Charmaine Tan
Emergency and Critical Care Veterinarian
BSc DVM
Charmaine graduated from Murdoch University in 2020, and has completed a year of general practice coupled with a casual job of emergency medicine. At the end of 2021, she made the move to dive into emergency medicine full time in at The Animal Hospital at Murdoch University , and to expand her experience further, she started at WAVES in a casual capacity in 2022. Outside of work, Charmaine will be also finishing her Graduate Certificate in Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care in November 2022.
Charmaine has been a veterinary nurse since 2012, starting off as a general practice nurse and branched out into some exotic nursing as well as emergency nursing. The focus on emergency nursing truly took off once she moved to Perth for veterinary studies, and she worked part time throughout her university days. Charmaine’s interest is focused on all aspects of critical care and medicine for small animals. She is embarking on an emergency and critical care internship next year at Murdoch University, and she is aiming for a residency in this field in the next few years.
EMERGENCY TEAM
Dr Alex Tinson
Emergency and Critical Care Veterinarian
BSc BVMS MANZCVS
Alex graduated from Murdoch University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery. She worked in a busy 24-hour GP clinic in Perth before taking up the opportunity to work at WAVES when it first opened to follow her love of emergency medicine. Alex obtained her Membership in Emergency and Critical Care with the ANZCVS in 2016. In 2017 she moved to the UK for 4 years, where she locumed in the beautiful county of Oxfordshire and had the opportunity to practice in Canada in her uncle’s clinic. She fell in love with the English countryside and all the walks, however not so much with the hamsters and gerbils which although are small, can bite hard! In 2021 she moved back to Perth and was excited to start back at WAVES as a senior Veterinarian.
EMERGENCY TEAM
Dr Hayley Trentini
Emergency and Critical Care Veterinarian
BSc DVM
Hayley is originally from sunny QLD where she completed her first degree in Biomedical Science. She did her obligatory time abroad working for minimum wage, before deciding to go back to school and pursue veterinary medicine.
She moved to WA for vet school and now calls WA home, with her partner and adopted menagerie of pets including dogs, Guinea pigs and love birds. In her time off she loves to cook, go hiking with the dogs, and visit every known bakery around Perth.
She worked in general practice for a few years before trading in her steady sleep schedule for the world of fast paced emergency medicine and surgery at WAVES. Despite the challenges; there is something new and exciting to learn every day and she has loved every minute of it!
EMERGENCY TEAM
Dr Issy Campbell
Emergency and Critical Care Veterinarian
BSc DVM
Graduating from Murdoch University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Issy moved to rural Victoria. There she worked in mixed animal practice, primarily treating dogs, cats, pocket pets and dairy cattle with only very few horse visits (much to her relief). Following one particularly bad night on call involving three separate calvings in the windy Warrnambool weather, Issy decided to move back home to Perth and started working at an after-hours general practice clinic. She fell in love with the emergency side of veterinary medicine and moved to WAVES to follow her passion in 2020. At WAVES, Issy has developed a particular interest in abdominal diseases and emergency surgery. She has a soft spot for Cavaliers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers and Shar-peis, likely due to the breed-related quirks of her own dogs. She also shares three pet rats and a stick insect, Jemima, with her housemates. Issy is currently studying for her ANZCVS Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Memberships; an exam which she aims to sit in mid-2023.

Dr Candice Baker
