The WAVES Dermatology Service is headed by Dr Meng Siak, Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists and a registered specialist in Veterinary Dermatology.

The dermatology department is adept in dealing with a wide range of skin-related problems including itchy skin, immune-metabolic disorders of the skin, skin infections, food allergies, nutritional, pigmentary abnormalities, acquired alopecias, etc.

Many skin problems can be managed by your primary care & general veterinarian, however, in some cases, referral to a Specialist Dermatologist is needed for complicated or unusual conditions, advanced procedures or treatment.

A referral from your pets’ regular vet is required. Some of the more common reasons for referral include the below list of conditions:
